I suspect there may well be flaws then, but it is only a teaching aid. It's hard *not* to come across "cognitive" corruption of behaviour analysis these days I find. I've just given out a link in c.a.p. to the 2001 Ann. Rev. of Psychol "Theories of Associative Learning" by Pearce and Bouton, mainly for the ref3erences on negative patterning. Sadly, the chapter will, no doubt, be quite inappropr6iately welcomed by those who find my (and Glen's) seemingly austere anti-cognitivism too unpalatable. They don't seem to appreciate that the work can and perhaps should be read without the "gloss" (and that the gloss really does just get in the way - but then many don't realise just how little progress the alternative talk has brought in 30-40 years!!).
