You can't say one is the best or worst. They work differently on different
people. So you just have to determine which is the best for each person, by
trial and error.

Prozac has a stimulating effect, so it should usually be taken in the
morning. Others have a sedative effect, especially in the first two weeks,
so should be taken in the evening. Paxil sometimes makes people feel like
they're gagging during the first two weeks. The newer antidepressants tend
to be effective in more people, and to have fewer side effects. Some of the
older tricyclics could cause a heart arrhythmia, which could be dangerous to
the few people that happens to, but have the advantage of being very cheap.
The class called MAOI may be effective where nothing else is for some
people, but have an effect on the liver. For that reason, a person has to
keep to a very strict diet, and take a drug holiday every few months.
