This is like taking candy from a stranger, you have no idea what you are going to get. In this case, it has been proven that the spammer above has been forced to spam the DNS version of his malicious website after being caught spamming this Concentric based website. Data miners, malicious javascripts and spyware can be found in many forms, such as an application program, installation utility, ActiveX control, Browser Helper Object, "cookies", (Java)script, Java applet, the HTML code found on some web sites, or any combination of the above. In short, ANY form of executable code and/or user-to-host data exchange can potentially be used to implement the malicious programs functionality. For those who don't know what the scam that Brad Jesness is trying to pull, it basically goes like this.... download and install his program on to your computer (desktop) which will then allow Brad free reign into your computer, regardless of any firewall you have. This is especially true if you have out of date virus definitions or a un-patched computer that is still open to such exploits. More on spammers installing trojans on to computers for their dirty deeds, http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/java.nocheat.html The following URL speaks of how the above anonymous spammer uses Java to infect your computer, http://www.freelabs.com/~whitis/security/viruses/ http://www.circleid.com/article/162_0_1_0_C/ "Moving Target: Spammer Using Over 1000 Home Computers as DNS" <you will note that Brad has been reduced to spamming via DNS, which was his first post here today> -- Taylor
