Why not have low cost buses in the sky, for people to commute between work and home? Not feasible you think? You cannot be more mistaken! How will this work? Simple: Build tall towers which act as "bus stops", thorought the city. These towers will be taller than most buildings. People will ascend these "bus stops" using simple elevator platforms, winched up by a motor located on the ground. A string of helium baloon airships will be hooked from both front and rear ends to cables, which will in turn be hooked to winches from one "sky bus stop" to another. To travel from one "sky stop" to the next, the winch at the destination stop will simply pull the "sky subway" train across the sky. As the air ships will not have engines, this will mean more passengers can be accommodated. And, as it will travel in the sky, the distance beween a suburb and downtown of a city, will be shrunk to a fraction, thus cutting the time of a one hour subway ride, to probably 10 minutes or less! Also, if the winches are run on electricity, it will be zero pollution to the atmosphere! (People will even be willing to pay an extra fare, just enjoy the scenery, and also reduce their rime of travel dramatically).
