What Isham says in his e-mail to you is "I hope that you don't think that I
have been "ignoring, ridiculing, or persecuting you", since I certainly have
not." which is a far cry from "He is not sympathetic to it and assures me he
takes my research seriously." I would hazard to guess that he does not
actually give a rats ass about any of your ramblings. You are reading more
into the e-mail than is actually there. His e-mail is a kindly worded
brush-off from a gentle man.
