Oops missed the last line of the original post. Gold is a fantastic reflector in the IR BTW. Maybe a gold cape with a big S on it?

Good point- Black anodized aluminum is about 5%R in most of the UV-Vis and
(last piece I measured) was about 50%R at 880 (and rising quickly!)


It's fast I measured 60% at 1 um, but I believe it might be a bit tough to make aluminium clothes though. Even the *extremely* expensive textiles made for restoration of Middle Age or Renaissance clothes have only few fibres of gold inside.
