bifurcation & plant growth

hi all!

just a simple question: is there a direct relationship between the
growth (height, size) of eg. a tree and the bifurcation diagrams? ie:
is tree growth determined, limited by chaotic attractors such as
bifurcation cells (where the tree can't grow further because it would
get to heavy on a single twig)?

i'm just curious - does this make sense?
