Incorrect info! The "cool looking Kenmore" is Whirlpool built in Germany.

You have to watch it, the cool looking kenmore is a OEM maytag, the
odler model is the fridiaire. I have had the frigiaire model for 5 years
and have only had to replace the water pump. My fault a small computer
screw got in to it and broke a fin off.

I love the pair.

If you must have Maytag, don't buy the front load model? Seriously
consider Kenmore instead?

Will grades be issued? Are the results of the pop quiz going on my
permanent record?

How in the name of heaven did this get cross posted to
sci.med.transcription in the first place?

Too late for you now, but Maytag has been rated by Consumer Reports as

My Maytag W/D have both been trouble-free since I bought them back in

- granted the washer is a top-loader (i.e. not a Neptune). Other

friends with

Maytag top-loaders have had similar experiences.

As always, YMMV.
