Just because the metabolites might be excreted this way, doesn't mean that stimulating these excretion mechanisms would increase the metabolism. If it were merely flushing out accumulated blood levels, water flushing might make a difference that were measureable if you had extremely sensitive equipment, but that difference wouldn't make a noticeable difference in the experience.
