Norton Anti Virus caught a virus

This morning there was a warning on my screen from Norton that the
"backdoor.hackarmy" trojan horse as on my machine and I had to correct it
manually.  I had to edit my registry to delete a key which I have done.  The
virus causes emails and attachments to get into the machine and sounds
similar to what we have been experiencing,  A google search of
"backdoor.hackarmy" provides the info.
