Well this is all really strange...I am not 100% sure about the
connection.

I had one prostate infection 4 years ago, and ever since then I have
been fine (except when I took dramamine, forgetting that
antihistamines cause inflamation for me).

I just started taking Prilosec 5 days ago, and then 3 days into it I
have a bladder/prostate infection. I have no real evidence that this
was the cause, but in Prilosec's PDR the following is listed:

Urogenital: Interstitial nephritis (some with positive rechallenge),
urinary tract infection, microscopic pyuria, urinary frequency,
elevated serum creatinine, proteinuria, hematuria, glycosuria,
testicular pain, gynecomastia
