You've either had chlamydia for a long time or just received it. You'll have to decide how to deal with this issue and your girlfriend, but just by what you write, it seems you were fine and then did have something resembling the beginning of an infection that was getting worse and would have became worse had you not been treated so quickly. But, why post here? Do you have a history of prostatitis or chronic pelvic pain? That might come in to the equation as well. Disclaimer: I am not a medical doctor.
