Seeking Info on LINAC, Gamma Knife, bremsstrahlung

Hi,
I have an essay to do and also a presentation, I am an MSc student in
Medical Physics in the UK.



The essay is supposed to discuss the aspects of building a new megavoltage
supply LINAC and in particular the bunkering and safety aspects and costs
relating to Bremsstrahlung radiation (which I guess is the main cause of
concern to workers).
My plan is (1500 words) to do a section on Bremsstrahlung radiation, a
section on the biological implications of that on the human body, an
overview of a LINAC installation, and then the radiation safety design
stuff, including costing, technical specs and legal limits/regulations.

My presentation is based on a paper whereby one guy is saying Leskell gamma
knife technology is becoming obsolete due to the improving capabilities of
LINAC systems to do the same work as the GN, but with the added flexibility
to do other stuff too. If anyone has any information on this, that would
also be great
