I would like some advice

I am 40 years old. During recent years I have noticed a problem with
my neck. It can suddenly give a sharp painful "snatching sensation"
and then I cant move my head hardly at all. I also get soreness and
stiffness, sometimes I have no problems. I also get some tingling in
my lower arms/hands and some murderous headaches.. Initially, the
computor was blamed,(typing/mousing ) and some nerve conduction
studies proved negative. Recently, my GP sent me for a X ray. The
results were that I have disk dgenerative disease at C6/C7 with some
disk space narrowing, and some mild scoliosis in the dorsal spine. I
have also been referred to a physio for a sore knee associated with a
much weaker and thinner right leg (calf and thigh) The right sole of
my shoe wears down much more quickly. And I notice that my right arm
(I am right handed) is also not as strong as the left. I dont know
if there is a possible link with the problems identified X ray.

Driving seems to be a aggravating factor, the position in the car,
having to reverse, look over the shoulder, look left and right.

I suffer from anxiety, and so sometimes my muscles will tighten up
without me realising it. I sense that will predispose to aggravating
it.

My GP has not proposed any follow up or treatment, and I am concerned
that in a person of my age, especially in view of the tingling
sensations, ought to have some more sophisticated imaging conducted.
I have read some horror stories about how severe damage can result
from pressure being exerted on the spine.

Does anyone have any suggestions. Pleaase reply here in this group/or
to me at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Kind regards and thanks in advance

Best regards Andrew
