Correction: There has been NO cancer in human during the 2 years that the test
went on. There were some developed in rats with a much higher dose. For this
reason the company took longer than they previously thought to put it on the
market. Because the clinical test on human went on for 2 years only, Forteo
cannot be prescribed for more than 2 years. I know a few women who are taking
Forteo with no bad side effect and they are pleased with it. Some saw an
improvement in their bone mass after 6 months. It seems that you can be
prescribed Forteo if your T score is low (< - 4) and other medications could not
be taken or no improvement was seen with these medications.
