Re: not sure what it is?

>So anyone with advice I would really appreciate it. Thank you, Melanie

Melanie, have you talked to your Mom about this? Could it be some kind of scar
tissue due to a procedure that you did not know about when you were young?
Why were they looking? Do you have trouble with your leg? What kind of a
doctor did you see? Either he/she didn't think it was a big deal or you saw a
bad doctor. You ought to ask if this is something you should look into. I
have no medical training, but I have heard many stories about people who lead a
normal life even though they have or have had unusual symptoms.
I read what you wrote again. Maybe the doctor is going to refer you to
someone, if not, you might ask him just so you can have peace of mind. (In my
opinion many things that are serious are things they can identify immediately.)

Just one more thought -- while you are waiting to pursue this, why don't
you try to think about any shots you have ever had or any injuries. My
daughter had a steroid (cortisone?)shot once because of poison ivy on her face
that was far too close to her eyes. The doctor gave her the shot in the arm,
and it caused a dent in the tissue where it was given. About a month later
when I noticed the dent, I took her to the pediatrician and he just shrugged it
off. A week or so later she had a regular appointment with an ENT. He shook
his head and said he just didn't know about these doctors who give those shots
in the arm. They are hip shots not arm shots. He said it was no big deal, but
in the future be sure they are given correctly. I had not even told him she
had a shot there. It really made me wonder about the pediatrician.
    Keep us posted.
Sammy
