Yeah...seems like that is a very common situation you encounter on Lyme discussion/newsgroup/forums...that is, you have what appear to be symptoms of hypothyroidism, but tests only fall within "normal" ranges. Mine have only recently tested out abnormal, but based on the almost immediate relief I began to experience,(from thyroid replacement therapy) and the fact that some symptoms which just seemed to melt away overnight...and the fact that I'd been experiencing them from the beginning...my guess is the symptoms were there all along and attributable to a thyroid problem of some sort. Biggest jump in wellness I've had since the beginning...NOT the answer to the whole deal, though...the thyroid maintains "balance", I guess, over a lot of bodily functions. (But it is interesting to compare the symptom list of hypothyroidism against the Lyme symptom list). The "norms" in thyroid testing as I understand it, are also somewhat controversial...prone to the same sort of interpretation problems we are familiar with here. Burrascano, if I remember correctly, maintains that patients may encounter thyroid hormone difficulties at the cellular receptor level...and still test within normal ranges.
