pegylated interferon

Hi there
I was wondering if any of you have tried the pegylated with ribovarin. I
have the chance to do a year of treatment.I have genotype 1a. One of my
questions is related to the after effects of treatment. For instance do
you feel better afterwards or are there new physical effects from using
those chemicals for a year, added complications in other words.
I guess I'm saying is it worth the risk as I have had hepc for over
25years and I have stage 2 liver disease and grade 2 fibro.... cant
remember the term.
I am currently taking part in a trial for a new possible treatment
called a polymerase inhibitor. It;s 2 weeks on the new drugs. I don't
know if I'm on the drug or the placebo. Hope it's the drug.
