I even went so far as to pull up DOS to try to add an xheader to the program, of course this wasn't allowed. This is the reason I became interested in remailers, just to get the x header. Even OE doesn't have a way to insert one. someone suggested I use agent years ago, but I couldn't send from it, so that idea put me back at square one.
