stressful manner to funding notices; (2) use data and other information 
to describe the local HIV/AIDS epidemic, target populations, and their 
need for services; (3) develop clear and concise service goals, 
objectives, and workplan; (4) describe their program and proposed 
services; (5) prepare a realistic budget and budget narrative; (6) 
design a sound evaluation plan; (7) ensure that all the pieces of their 
proposal work together; and (8) establish and maintain good 
relationships with current and prospective funders.

of the opioid withdrawal syndrome, including use of withdrawal scales,

novel drug forms, changes in potency and availability of street drugs,

evaluation. This two-day workshop will cover the basics of understanding 
program evaluation techniques in order to improve the effectiveness of 
the services you provide and collect important information that can 
demonstrate the importance of your program. This training will address: 
(1) Why evaluation is important to the participant, the organization, 
and ultimately, the clients/patients/target population; (2) The main 
types of evaluation; (3) Different types of data collection tools and 
methodologies; (4) How much evaluation should be conducted; (5) Data 
analysis strategies; (6) using and interpreting the data; and (7) 
Writing up the results.
