The more people you have, the more it is possible to produce. So total GDP will go up unless all the immigrants are quadriplegics. GDP growth would likely be good, as immigrants tend to be very productive, at low cost. It is possible if the immigrants produce less than average, per capita GDP could decrease in the short run, but immigrants tend to make more per family and save more, than the average american.
