Why would China buy goods from us when they can buy them cheaper from
China, just like we do?

Perhaps China will buy software from the U.S. - oh yeah, I forgot.
Software development and support is moving to India.

Perhaps China will buy our oil - woops - we possess 3% of the world's
oil supply.

Perhaps China will buy our surplus grain - but then the U.S. is
projected to cease to be a net grain exporter by 2025 because of the
demands of our doubling population.

Perhaps China will give us a loan to help bail us out - yeah, that's
it.

I am not quickening. I believe you mean to say that doubling U.S.
population will be good for the economy. Hell, we can't even
guarantee prosperity for the people we have right now.

Surely we would want to model ourselves after Europe's and Japan's
efforts towards sustainability rather than model ourselves after
massively overpopulated countries such as Bangladesh, India, and
China.
