The paper did nothing of the sort. It said some specific subset of men using aspirin were subject to certain problems. Whether the factors involved were genetic or environmental, they could not determine.

I don't agree that is clear from the report. It would take an examination of the full paper to find out for sure. In any case the result is contrary to the large study which I quoted.


Furthermore, 300 grams per year is an very large dosage (roughly 3 full size aspirin every day) which is generally only taken by unhealthy people. So again this says little relevant to the use of 1/4 to 1/2 aspirin daily as preventative therapy for healthy people.
