Juventus-Liverpool, Final match of Champion Ligue, Heysel Stadium, May
29th 1985.

I returned home and switched the tv set on, waiting for other friends
coming to look at the soccer match.
I couldnīt believe my eyes.
People running in panic. 39 people died when a wall crashed down. I was
terrified and paralized.
Horrible above any imagination.

Bye,

Anna Maria

Heysel is the Belgian French for Flemish "Heizel", which makes more sense as
the name refers to the heide or heathland north of Brussels.
After the disaster the stadium was rebuilt. It's now called the
Boudewijn/Baudouin Stadium.
Hillsborough is the Sheffield Wednesday ground. Several police officers
faced criminal charges after the disaster. The teams involved were from
Liverpool and Nottingham
