Good question.  I sometimes get those in regular e-mail, in a post
entirely in English, though from people with Asian language
interests.

I have complained here about the opposite:  English spaces in the
middle of Japanese text.  There's something wrong with my FEP such
that the character bitmap lookup gets disoriented when encountering a
second string of JIS in a line, and it's a pain to not be able to
read a full line of pure Japanese just because it has an ASCII space
in it.
