There are a whole bunch of stores that sell Japanese products there, such as "Shirokiya" type stores.

phones? Is there a favorite cell phone company for Japanese people living
in the US? I had her send an e-mail to my cell phone, but the Japanese

I saw one (Japanese)coworker-friend operating a Japan made cell phone. She said she had bought it in California. I am not sure, though, she uses its e-mail function since I don't do e-mail in cellophane. Anyway, there are numerous Japanese in NYC and New Jersey. I guarantee you that the satisfactory service is available. I would see several Japanese residents or students there and ask what service they are getting.
