On a Dell machine with Windows XP Professional SP1, the IME toolbar keeps disappearing. I was wondering why. But now I know where it went. On an NEC machine with Windows XP Professional SP1, now there are two IME toolbars. They don't even agree on the input mode, one says Ro-maji and one says hiragana. Here's a screen shot from the NEC: http://home.att.ne.jp/star/ndiamond/ime.jpg OK, I shouldn't have said "But now I know where it went." Except for that, everything in this message is true. This is not a joke. One keeps losing its only toolbar and the other refuses to lose one if its two. Does anyone know how to make the IME toolbar work? I've been using IME toolbars in Japanese Windows systems for 8 years. Although they've often had problems they've never been as bad as they have been this week.
