Hello, I'm looking for a Web page or section of a book listing such expressive sounds in Japanese as "ne," "n," "yo," "saa," "fun," "yosh," and so forth. What is the formal name for such sounds? Am I correct in thinking, as a general rule, that "n" is "no" and nominalizes what directly precedes it? If so, is nominalization a general means of indicating a closeness or intimacy in the utterance? Also, am I correct in thinking that Japanese contains more of these expressive sounds than English? Thank you.
