More likely it is a week 1.024k problem.

The GPS system uses a binary value to represent the week, with a maximum
value of 1024. Week 1024 came around in about August 1999. This was far
more of an issue to GPS receivers than Y2K ever was.

1024 weeks is about 19 years and 33 weeks. Does your trimble think it is
April 1984 by any chance?
