My last one had maps in it.  I never even considered the possibility that it
might not.
On page 66 of the manual it has..
"Transferring MapSource Map Data
If you have purchased a Garmin MapSource CD-ROM mapping program you may want
to transfer data"...
I guess if you are not familiar with this stuff, it seems like it has maps.

NOW I know that.  I didn't when I purchased it.
