Re: Coral Reporduction Question

Lewis Clark wrote:
I overheard a conversation at an aquarium recently about how coral
reproduce. One person stated that thousands of coral in a habitat all
produce eggs at the same time. The thousands of eggs all at once help a few
survive predators.

Does anyone know how the coral coordinate this activity?

Some do by chemical substances (like hormones), some induced by the moon (at least that's how some worm (?) does it), I guess several strategies have been developed.
