The numbers seem comparable to other surveys (e.g. AIP) I've seen.
However, I wonder much of this cut is due to any individual person's
salray history, which may not decline  The expensive senior may be
forced to retire early.  Entry salraies are probably cut.  In fact
during the boom we observed salary compression or inversion- starting
people were getting offers nearly the same as highly experienced people.
