The successive former editions of Dana gave localities, but not mineral reserves (in the sense of "ore reserves"). The Dana's gave much attention to US mineral localities, hence the expression "Dana locality" among mineral collectors and dealers, which makes minerals coming from such localities more valuable. Another comprehensive handbook which is now in the publishing pipeline is that of Anthony, Bideaux, etc.: "Handbook of Mineralogy", Mineral Data Publishing Tucson, AZ. If you need locations of "mineral reserves" (i.e."ore reserves"), you could look at: Colin J. Dixon: "Atlas of economic mineral deposits", Chapman & Hall, London (1979). Each chapter devoted to an ore category has a good starting bibliography. If you need details on mineral localities in specified countries, N. American States, Counties, mountain ranges, Pacific Slope, etc., there are several special topographical mineralogies. For USA localities, you can access for free the USGS data base managed by GEOREF: http://usgs-georef.cos.com/cgi-bin/search J.J.
