Hey, weatherlawyer! Go easy, here! I think your evident paranoia about a
conspiracy to limit chit-chat to a few certain quakes is not viable, nor does
it sound entirely the product of a sane mind. I've seen all kinds of quakes
discussed here, even 1.5 and 1.9 mag. microtremors. Furthermore, I see nothing
untoward about Mr.Tilley's looking forward to the 10-year anniversary of one of
the most damaging quakes to hit Southern California in the 20th Century, in
fact, I appreciate his sentiments. I feel he must have personally been
involved, or knew some people who were victims and survivors of that quake, and
he himself may have felt it, even if from afar.. All of which affected him SO
deeply that now, 10 year later, he still recalls that frightful early morning,
and longs to hear others who may have been there, express the same thoughts and
feelings. This also makes me respect him more as a human being. Weatherlawyer,
please don't abuse his memory for an earthquake that affected him, and others,
so deeply. Aren't you in Kansas or someplace? Shouldn't you be keeping a
weather eye out for cirrus clouds that might indicate a tsunami somewhere?

I was GOING to say, "You know how earthquake enthusiasts and geologists are,
they're the first to get all sedimental!" but decided it wouldn't be quite
proper!

P.S., Northridge is in the San Fernando Valley, which has at least 3 dedicated
Chihuahua lovers. Please see the following:

LONDON NOT KEEN ON CHIHUAHUAS

Looking at the statistics in the above list, one sees that only EIGHT Chihuahua
lovers are willing to show themselves in London, England, whereas San Diego,
California, a city of about a TENTH the population of London, has 113 Chihuahua
lovers; New York City has 91, and Santa Clara County, California, is not far
behind with 67. England needs to get more chihuahuas!

Best to all, -----e.a.
