PC processors

I volunteer with WITS, a st louis (USA) non profit organization thta
rebuilds and recycles PC's.  Since we dispose of a thousand or so PC's
every month we would like a way to reclaim the gold that is in all CPU
chips.  Does anyone have information about this, or a clue about where
to start looking?  Thanks,
