No matter what they labeled themselves as, all socialists were in reality the same as totalitarian fascists. Socialism is about totalitarianism. Marxism is about B.S., as with all socialists, to justify totalitarianism. And socialism also predated Marx. The problem with the various governments you mentioned (and the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Communist China, Cuba, etc) is that all of them were willing to really follow the Marxist trash and they became totalitarian themselves, as always. But I expect that you knew that. The extreme left in this country seems fond of trying to re-label anything that reveals their side of the spectrum as fascism, including the National Socialist German Workers' Party. And they like to hide behind the label liberals, knowing that the moniker has been changed by their rhetoric from a historic title of non-government (liberal=liberty) to be a title of socialism/totalitarianism/constant government growth. Interestingly enough, I suggest you might reread Mussolini's words, the left and right extremists are now parroting his sayings. It shows that the appelation "authoritarian" is apt when applied to socialists. And all the more so knowing that the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and Communist China, both independently slaughtered more people then their brethren in the horrid National Socialist German Workers' Party.
