JCT: Just heard about an international seminar on alternative currencies coming up next week in Montreal with speakers Michael Linton and Bernard Lietaer. It will be from Nov 19-22, 2003 at the University of Quebec At Montreal, Judith Jasmine Pavilion, Marie-Guerim Lajoie Hall. Tickets are $150 before Nov 15, $175 after and can be reserved at 514-987-3000#6972. More info at: http://www.ceh.uqam.ca You'll remember that Michael Linton was the LETS project engineer who I financed. Bernard Lietaer is a supposed expert who prefers using government interest-bearing money over creating it ourselves interest-free. I'll give him a hot time if I get the chance. I wrote [EMAIL PROTECTED]: I will be attending your seminar. As the engineer who made the presentation to the United Nations Millennium Assembly on a world-wide UNILETS social currency which was adopted in Resolution C6 to governments in the Millennium Declaration, I wonder if there would be the opportunity for me to do a presentation on the UNILETS three years later. See: http://www.cyberclass.net/turmel This could be the start of something big if the group endorses the UNILETS and starts pushing their governments to support it too. Unfortunately, if you do a search for "Linton" and "UNILETS," you'll find that Michael never saw the UNILETS big picture. This could be time to straighten him out. -- Abolitionist Slave Leader John C."The Banking Systems Engineer" Turmel for UNILETS interest-free time-based currency in U.N. resolution C6 to Governments in the http://www.un.org/millennium/declaration.htm http://www.cyberclass.net/turmel 519-756-1325 USENET: can.politics
