Re: Amplifying TV antenna signal



I was going to recommend a good Yagi for UHF.  Also keep in mind, CH 67 at
2.8 MW is good but not great.  At that high of frequency you need a whole
lot of power to get out.  The station I work at is on CH 47 and we're
outputting 5 MW.  Let me tell you, even at that power we still get calls
about poor reception only 50mi away.  According to the last RF study we
performed we should be propagating approx 85 mi.  So, a high gain yagi
pointed directly toward the broadcasting tower would be my recommendation.
Be sure the antenna is properly tuned to accept the channel range you are
trying to view.
