Thanks Paul but this was the first time I'd posted this, we already had the
loft aerial so seemed to make sense to try and use that, however does seem
that I will have to "bite the bullet" and get an external aerial fitted .
  The main reason I asked on Usenet was because I know I don't know
"better".
