Re: Survey Question

does that say "part of the fence is .5" on their property"? how wide is a
fence post and I believe that the fence should be half on each property,
(correct me if I'm wrong) then if all else fails go to court. I can hear
the judge laughing from here.

Fence half on each property if it is a two sided fence.   If fence only has one 'good' side, that side is usually to be facing out and whole fence situated on your property.  As close to the boundary as possible of course, without moving the bars.

Diego -

Can you explain in a little more detail what "tolerance limits" are?

Thanks

David

Did you say *half and inch*???

Unfortunately are neighbors have been very difficult from the time we

moved

in, and having a productice conversation with them would be a

challenge.

I bet it would, if they want to stir things up for half an inch of
real estate! Personally, as a land surveyor, if I was doing the survey
for the neighbours and found a half an inch encroachment, I would be
very hesitant to even acknowledge it, especially since 0.5" is often
within the tipical tolerance limits for a normal property survey.
