Anybody have some experience with these two together? After experimenting with various baud rates etc., I still have an occasional "communication error" message displayed. More importantly, it does not always set the total station backsight reading to zero as the survey style has defined. This is a big problem because the TSC1 raw file will show a zero, but the total station does not and so when you turn to tag new points, the next horizontal reading will store but the angle will be wrong due to the incorrect backsight. Therefore I have told my party chiefs to always manually set the total station backsight to zero when performing a station setup. For the record, I had my best success with baud rate 1200, parity none. Communication with other manufacturers instruments seems OK. Regards,
