Just a quick follow-up:

The exact error that I get is this:

!UPLOAD ERROR
Check your data
Line 22

The problem is not in line 22, as I've changed many things around, and
tested with a code list of simple codes less than 5 characters in
length, and the problem still happens.  As I noted below, the line
number changes depending on the communication settings that I use.
