I am using the 49 at the moment, but wouldn't recommend it. I find the keys
wear out, which is ok if you can remember where the keys are. I have also
had probs with my memory, even with the latest version of ROM. I would go
with the HP 48GII. Most programs for these are available on cards so are
easy to interchange as well as add extra memory. The HP 48GII also can be
connected to most survey instruments (with the right programs), but I am
unsure if the 49 will.
