Check out the specs on the Leica website...even > better than a TCA1801 > > Steve! ...just my opinion but the TCRAs are great for detailed topo surveys - I use a TCRA1101plus and since switching to it my constant back/neck ache has disappeared, and I get to walk the site instead of being stuck in one place! :-) They're also good for setting out - I recently set out all the stand markings and taxiway markings at Bristol airport with one, & what could have been a nightmarish job was accomplished in a few days. Another excellent feature is the reflectorless measurement option, range about 80-100m with a red laser, very handy for inaccessible points, house corners, elevation surveys etc. Talking of which, has anyone had any experience with a Cyrax scanner?
