HP4145B - read HP diskette data files onto a PC, utility?

Have an old clunker 4145B in the lab and don't
have to fight for it; unlike the newer 4155 & 4156
it only works with HP-formatted disks than the PC
won't recognize. Last PC I had that would read them
was an '80s-vintage HP lab PC (long gone).

Does anyone know of a low-level disk utility that 
could get data off a 4145B diskette into some (could
I be so lucky as to get readable text?) DOS file
form so it's usable?
