For years, I have been in the habit of buying Envision computer monitors from Fry's Electronics, in southern California. I just bought a new 19" flat screen version. They seem to work fine, and the pricing is always low. They are made in China. I have looked in the "Notices, Warnings, and Precautions" brochure that accompanied the new monitor, just as I have in the past. Though there are bland discussions of radio interference and warnings against using one's monitor near a bathtub, there is no mention of radiation coming from the monitor. I'm concerned about threats to human health due to irradiation, not interference with radio communications..."re-orient my antenna or call a technician" doesn't answer my concern. I have found nothing helpful on Envision's website www.envisionmonitor.com Can anyone advise me or direct me towards some standard that Envision must comply with? Envision's outer packaging bears the following certifications: C.S.A. LR60441 U.L. E135689 Listed I.T.E. Monitor 1K81 F.C.C. (no further specification here) energy star PnP I suspect that U.L. is concerned about fires and dropouts, due to electrical power, not radiation threats to human health. Ditto C.S.A. The F.C.C. is concerned about interference with communication, right? Where is radiation threats to human health addressed? Thanks, John
