Ground Improvement methods on unstable soils

Hi!

I'm undergrad. student in civil eng. major. My last assignment is
reasearch on the topic: "Ground Improvement methods on unstable soils"
I have searched the net but except ads and noncontemporary solutions
there is not much there. Could anybody guide me what positions should
I look into (books or sites). I would prefer the newest technological
solutions. I would be thankful for any hints.
