Re: Getting prototype parts made?

Hello,

Perhaps I can help. I own a small R&D company and have an extensive
background in manufacturing. If you wish to email me (or post) a
description of the part and I would let you know the most economical
method to manufacture it.

Some of your choices are:

rapid prototype: relatively inexpensive, looks & feels like the real
thing, but functionally not useable.

machined prototype: more expensive, 100% useable (for testing, etc..).
can be machined from plastics, steels, alumunium

molded/cast parts: most expensive, but cheaper in the high volumes /
production.
