Well, Paul, you were more than willing to spent time to insult him.....

I've never understood what you hope to gain by flaming all those
who dare ask questions here. I can understand you not wanting to
answer same; that's fine. Warning people doing something REALLY dumb
["Can I patch my heat exchanger with Bud cans and Bondo?"] is one
thing; calling everyone you don't know names is another kettle of
fish.

If having to read their posts upsets you so much; use a whitelist
and only read those posts from people you know. But flaming all that
might come into your line of sight can only is raise your blood
pressure and push you into an early stroke.

Like it or not, we see evidence here every week that too high a
percentage of the (claiming to be..) experts in the HVAC trade either
know just enough to be dangerous [See some of Turtle's regular horror
stories...I especially enjoy them], or know their little niche and
won't go beyond.

In my experience, finding someone who knows anything about hydronics
& GSHP's can be well nigh impossible -- my friends ended up with a
Stadler dealer over 90 minutes away. Since they were doing it all
themselves [1] this was not infeasible. He too found no dealer
willing to sell/install a GSHP -- the quasi-locals ones he called
had no clue how to feed heated floors, and the floor dealers only
knew about gas-fired boilers!

It's your life, Paul, but do you really think it's happier for
belittling strangers every day?

[1] "All" includes pulling permits, digging foundation with Bobcat,
planning & placing the PEX tubing in the floors, [but not mixing
the gypcrete [?sp]; a truck delivered it & the driver DID help spread
it, install wiring, plumb in the FCU's, and more... A crew did build
the exterior log structure and roof. Oh, and first they had to build
a 2100 ft driveway. Did I mention the septic tank hole and drain field?
