Does such software package exist?: Suppose you have a map
(assume you scan it and you assign three imovable poits of reference
over all measurements) of something broken up into smaller pieces.
Each smaller piece has a score. You need to get the center of gravity
for each smaller piece and assign the score to each point. You then
get measurements of the same map but this time broken into different
set of smaller pieces (each different in location and shape from the
previous). Assume the measuring device fragments the region on its own
whim every time. So now you can take centers of gravity and assign
scores to each. You do this several times and then you interpolate the
scores so that you have a contour plot of scores.
